Making and recording team decisions
Decide who decides, match the effort to how reversible the decision is, frame options against agreed criteria, use a simple weighted comparison when it helps, involve the right people without deciding by committee, and record and review the decision so the team can follow it and learn from it.

- Identify who owns a decision and who should be consulted or informed, using a model such as DACI
- Classify decisions as easily reversible or hard to reverse and choose a matching level of effort
- Frame at least three options against stated criteria, including 'do nothing' where relevant
- Calculate and interpret a weighted decision matrix without treating it as the answer by itself
- Write a decision record with the reasoning, owner, review date and what would make you revisit it
