Skills you'll practise

• Check an incoming return against its return authorization and record any difference
• Inspect and grade returned items against the site's written criteria and capture serial or lot numbers
• Choose a disposition (restock, rework, return to vendor, liquidate or donate, scrap) that the policy allows, and keep items quarantined until it is approved
• Calculate returns measures such as return rate and on-time disposition, stating the denominator
• Recognize returns that need specialist handling, such as damaged lithium batteries, and route them to trained staff
