Software and subscription renewals: avoiding auto-renew surprises
For finance and purchasing staff, office managers, IT managers and budget holders who own or pay for software subscriptions. Complete 'Purchasing controls and approval limits' first: this course applies its whole-life valuation and approval rules to renewals. You'll build a subscription register, calculate notice deadlines and the cost of missing them, use vendor renewal settings (with Microsoft 365 as the worked example), run a renewal review that ends in a clear decision with the right approval, and understand which auto-renewal rules protect a business buyer and which don't. Legal examples are from the US (federal ROSCA rules for consumers and a Wisconsin statute on business contracts) and the UK (the consumer subscription contracts regime). This course is not legal advice; your contracts, your company's purchasing policy and whoever handles contracts in your company take priority.
