Process mapping: from a validated as-is map to a tested to-be process

For team leads, operations and office coordinators, and improvement champions who already draw current-state maps and now need to turn them into a better process. Prerequisite: 'Process mapping: SIPOC, swimlanes and the current state'. You'll validate an as-is map with the people who do the work, measure lead time, process time and the first-time-right rate, find opportunities with change concepts, design the to-be map and its change list, and plan small tests and the steps that make a proven change standard. Based on the AHRQ workflow toolkit, the GOV.UK Service Manual, the Lean Enterprise Institute's value-stream mapping guidance and the IHI Model for Improvement. Your organisation's change approval route and procedure owners decide how changes go live.
