Change control for business processes
For operations coordinators and managers, process owners, team leads, project managers and anyone who changes how work gets done: an approval step, a form, a handover, a check. No prerequisites, though 'Process mapping: SIPOC, swimlanes and the current state' helps. You'll learn to tell which process changes need control, write a change request that assesses impact on objectives, outcomes, controls and the plan, route it to the person or group with authority, plan and communicate it before authorisation, verify before closing, and bring emergency and unauthorised changes back under control. It applies the UK Government Functional Standard for project delivery (GovS 002) and the change-control steps in NIST SP 800-128 (written for information systems) to business processes. Your organisation's change procedure decides what's controlled and who approves.
