Office moves and IT relocation: planning, move day and first-day checks
For IT technicians, MSP project staff and office managers who plan or run the IT side of an office move. You should know the basics of networks, Microsoft 365 administration and change control; it helps to have done 'Small-site network rollout plan' and, for lifting, 'Manual handling for equipment moves'. The course covers surveying the new premises and long lead times, settings tied to the old address or network (emergency calling locations, public IP allow-lists), a move-day runbook with a way back, protecting equipment and data in transit and at the old site, and first-day verification and close-out. Examples use Microsoft Teams and Entra ID; other phone and identity systems have equivalent settings. Emergency-calling rules differ by country: confirm yours with your provider. Ends with a supervisor-graded move plan.
