Manual handling for equipment moves: assessing server, UPS and office kit lifts (Great Britain)
For technicians, office and facilities staff who move servers, UPS units, printers and office equipment, and the supervisors who plan those moves. You should already know the basics of safe handling from 'Manual handling and safe lifting'. This course applies the Health and Safety Executive's method to equipment moves in Great Britain under the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992: when HSE's simple filters are enough and when a detailed assessment is needed, the filter values by hand zone, team capacity, pushing and pulling guideline forces, controls in the legal order, planning a team lift or trolley move, and writing it down. It is not legal advice and doesn't grant a licence or qualification; outside Great Britain, check your own regulator's rules. Ends with a supervisor-graded move plan and observed lift.
